"When faced with a photographic opportunity, I focus intensely on the subject. The world surrounding me seems to exist only through my lens, where I reassemble the elements of color, shape, and space, to describe accurately what my senses are gathering. My feelings of the moment are transcended into the composition of the photograph. Whatever the means used to record the moment, the essence remains the same. The photographic process, in my world, is a way to translate emotion into art." |
Born in Lebanon, a beautiful country that was torn by a 17-year war, I spent my entire childhood and adolescence learning how to survive. I discovered photography at a younger age.
I moved to Cyprus in 1990, then to France in 1991 were I completed my engineering degree and toured Europe taking thousands of photos. In 2001 I moved to Salt Lake City, Utah then Boulder, Colorado, I discovered there the unique beauty of the American West. Today I live in Medina, Minnesota, the state of 10,000 lakes with its fabulous landscapes and its intensity of colors. No matter what type of voyage I am embarking on, my photography gear is always at arm's reach.
