Cindy Bergstrom and I co-founded Gallery Maple Plain. We started in May 2007 designing the concept and finding artists. We are proud that our Grand Opening will take place Nov 16-18. The member artists who participate in this co-operative, non-profit gallery are terrific - inspired, hard working and fun. I look forward to many years of participation and am pleased my art has a home that I helped create.
My study of painting began in 1972 when I took drawing at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. Since then I have created hundreds of pictures mostly in watercolor. I love photography and consider this my second medium. As I travel, I search for beauty to record with my camera. From the University of MN, I obtained a degree in fine arts, where I took advantage of the fine printmaking and ceramics departments. Exploration of jewelry, acrylic, and oil painting has interested me lately. My art is full of color, life and enthusiastic appreciation of the beauty in the world. The works grace the homes of people and businesses around the world. A more complete resume is available at the gallery. |
